Women’s History Recognition
Each year during the month of March, we celebrate Women’s History Month to recognize the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. As Eleanor Roosevelt one said, “women are like teabags… we don’t know our true strength until we are in hot water.
As we note the paths paved by notable women in society, such as Former VP Kamala Harris or Susan Rice, locally, here at St. Rebecca, we can reflect on the legacy and contributions of those gone on before us like Mother Inez Cawthorn, Mother Mable Donaldson, and many, many, others who are not listed on the screen today. We say thank you for their contributions to this church and our community that paved the way for many successes we enjoy today.
